Why I built Clovie

Clovie is the trusted local guide for parents across Montgomery County, MD and DC Northwest. Classes, camps, birthday parties, and local events, all in one place.

Founder's story

It started with a six-week-old and no idea where to go

When I moved from New York City to Maryland, I had a six-week-old baby and local connections, but everyone was in a different stage of life. Some had no kids yet, some had older kids.

A friend told me she found a music class through her mom group. The problem? I didn't know how to find a music class. And I didn't know how to find a mom group.

I was told I'd meet people once my kids started school. That was almost two years away.

So I built Clovie. To help parents discover local activities, make memories with their kids, and find their village a little sooner.

Every listing is researched and reviewed by a real parent, so you spend less time searching and more time making memories.
